The world has gone to pixels in this creative 8-bit style fantasy RPG. Work together, or journey alone, to battle against one of six fierce dragons and their menagerie of mischievous minions. Take turns using your hero’s unique skill, weapons, and magic to bring down the great serpent’s health. Your party must act fast though as you only have 15 rounds to defeat the dragon before your entire party is crushed by its might!

Replacing dice-centric combat, this action packed game focused on fighting the big bad guy instead opts for tactical and cooperative card play and the flip of a token. You will be challenged with a completely unique experience every time you play as you struggle against the ultimate dragon boss battle!

Message from the Developer

I’ve always been interested in card games, but I find myself often disinterested due to designs that are too dull or rules that are too complex. My dream was to create a simple card game, with a retro feel, colourful design and just a few simple accessories. Combining this with my love of fantasy and turn-based strategy games, I came up with the concept for Pixel Clash – a retro, randomised, dragon-slaying card game.

Probably Pixel Clash’s best feature is its flexibility. It’s playable by a single person or a small group (up to six people), with a short playtime, some light strategy, and plenty of replayability. No two games are the same, as you can change up your chosen Player and Dragon cards, there’s a recurring coin-flip mechanic, each round has random Actions/Minions to deal with, and there’s plenty of scope for adjusting the game difficulty too.

Think of Pixel Clash like a constant challenge of unknowns – can your team beat the Red Dragon? How about the Green Dragon? Can you defeat the Dragon alone? What Minions will you have to deal with this time? Should I focus on pure damage or healing and defence? And to boot, we’re planning on releasing free “Alternative Gameplay” rules on our website later in 2022!
